This is a slide that Aja, Mary-Jane, Arizona and I have been working on for a week now. I don't think we're done yet but here it is.

Maths

WALT: Write a reflection about what we did for maths.

Today the kia manawanui syndicate did maths with Ms.Komor.

Monita helped me understand what the questions were trying to tell me, what it was about and what strategy I had to use to get the answer.  

Maths was really chellanging for me but I have tried my best giving my all and never give up.

The question that I made it up to was

double 25.7

Witch was really easy for me cause I just used the algorithm strategy witch gave me the answer of (51.4). 

For those of you who don't know what algorithm is, The photo above is an example.

One thing I could work on next time is to challenge myself an dtry and work without any help and also one thing I did really well was using strategys that I feel that is easier for me.

What we did this morning!

WALT: Write a Reflection about what we did for our morning sesson.

Kia-ora and welcome back to my blog.

This morning a lady named Ms.Treena came into room 10 and talked to us about Pests and native animals. We did arguementation on if we agree or disagree that we should have dangerous animals (Pests) in our country New Zealand. 

Kia manawanui was given the task to post a comment about why we agree or disagree on why we should or shouldn't have pests in our country New Zealand. 

This is my comment!

 We also talked about how Pests affect our country and what it has affected.

after all of that thinking and talking about Pests and arguementation Ms.Treena left and we all did a Quiz with Ms.Komor.

Learning and Creating Abstract!

Creating Abstract

WALA: How to make something abstract.

Today the Kia-Manawanui Syndicate learnt about how to make something Abstract. We started off with looking at types of technology that we can use for an abstract art. I have learnt that not all technology is electronic.

"What is Abstract art?"

well Abstract art is a type of art that uses differant shapes, differant colours, and also texture. For an Example:

"what colours and shapes can you see?"

There are many types of technologys that you can use for Abstract art such as Art Pencils, Paper, Scissors, Paint/Paint brushes, and many more.

I have also noticed that the Technology back in the old days were really differant from the Technologys in our days.

Here is a little example of what I am talking about!

I have really enjoyed learning about Abstract art and I hope we do more Abstract art.

Technology At Tamaki College!

TECHNOLOGY AT TAMAKI COLLEGE!

Today we went to Technology at Tamaki College. We went to cooking with Mrs.Tuipulotu. We learnt how to cook Mince Gravy.

Here are the steps:

STEP 1: Cut & Dice one Onion and fry in oil.

(After 15mins)

STEP 2: Put Mince inside of the pan and mix it in with the Onion.

STEP 3: Add Vegetables.

STEP 4: Last but not least pour the gravy in the pan and mix all together until it is cooked.

Done!

And there you have your Mince Gravy!

With the help of Fine Leha we wouldn't have acomplished this task.

Duffy Role Model Assembly!

Duffy Role Model Assembly!

WALT: Write a Reflection on the duffy assembly this morning.

Kia ora and welcome back to this weeks first blog.

Today I am going to talk to you all about the duffy assembly from this mornings sesson.

For the duffy assembly we met Michel Molipola. For those of you who do not know Michel Molipola he is a famous wrestler and a comic book writer. he draws pictures and writes stories on famous Wrestlers in the WWE. Micheal Molipola has been fighting for twelve and a half years and has been writing/drawing ever since he was little like me. this is Michel Molipola.

He has met lots of famous wrestlers such as (Ray Misterio), (Bookatee), (The Rock), and many more. He was once the heavy weight champion of NewZealand until his last weeks fight. He didn't pronounce the name of the fighter that he lost his belt to. One thing that I have learnt from Michel Molipola is to never give up your dreams.

Pacific Production!

Pacific Production!

WALT: Write a Reflection on our Pacific Island Production.

Kia ora and welcome back to this weeks blog. Today I am going to be talking to you all about our Pacific Island Production that we had been putting together for about three weeks now and yesterday was the day that we finally performed to a real auidence.

I was in the Samoan group and we were the secound group to perform our role play and our dance. in my group was Constance, Fa'afieu, Fatoalofa, Suave, Aumau, and Monita. Constance was Levana (The Daughter of Sina/Lefilemu's brother), Aumau was Lefilemu (The son of Sina/Levana's brother), Suave was Fonua (The turtle in the storie/Levana & Lefilemu's friends), Fatualofa was lofa and was also a turtle aswell, Fa'afieu was Sina the mother and last but not least monita and I were narirators of the storie. Our title of our storie was called "The Fire Wave".

My personal oppinion is that I really think that my team did very awesome in our production and i enjoy working with all of them. The only thing that needed working on for me was to learn the dance moves properly. I'd also like to congradulate Constance for her performance yesterday. She really made alot of people think that she was the actual charrictor that she was playing. she was awesome at acting.

Our first auidence was room 4. They looked really interested in our set up of room ten. they were full of laughter and also supprised of seeing how the different Islands of our production were destroyed by different natural disaster. 

I think that the Fijian group did really well. There mindset was awesome and there performance was great. what I liked most about there productoin was there dance. There moves were clean and they had no mistakes. they intertained the little kids in room 4 and did very well for there whole production.

Yesterday was just really fun and I'd like to thank our teachers Ms.Komor & Ms.Aireen for preparing our production and making it happen. without yous it wouldn't have been such a success.

Kapa Haka.

 Kapa Haka

WALT: Write a Reflection on our Kapa Haka practice.

On monday the TPS students that were in the Kapa haka group had Kapa haka practice. It was kind of hard for the kapa haka tutors to start teaching because some people weren't listening to the intructions. When we are silly or disrespectable we all get punished. Our punishment was to squat and stay down until our tutors say to stand up. We also had to jump high until our feet hit our back witch is very sour and tiring. We did this thing where we all had to form a triangle but the girls on the outside and the boy on the inside. It was so complicating because we had a lot of steps and moves that we had to remember. I felt challenged because most of the moves I got mixed up wiv and sometimes thought of the amount of moves we had to do. I couldn't memories the steps or the move so I just sat down and took a break because I was over thinking to much. We sang a waiata witch is called (Tini Whetu). lastly we played a game named (Pukana). It was really funny because people were making funny faces. What I should work on next time is to focus more on what is going on in front of me instead of what is going on around me. What I did well was listening to the instructions and also learning all my words.

WALT: Reaserch about natural disasters.

Today I have been learning about natural disasters. I have learnt that a natural disaster is a natural event that causes great damages or loss of lives. Natural disasters are caused by the movement of the Earth and not only that, it can also be caused by human actions.
what I think I should work on next time is working harder, finding and getting to know more about the topic. what I think I have done well is staying on task.

Mathematics Test

WALT: Write a Reflection on our Maths test that we did thus morning with Ms.Fepuleai.

 Mathematics

This morning Kia-Manawanui had a Maths Test with Ms.Fepuleai. It was called the E-asttle Test. For me the test was chellanging and also confusing. It was chellanging and confusing because I couldn't find the right stradegy to work out the answers of the questions and also some of the questions weren't really understanding. Some of the questions got me so frustrated that I just sat in my chair thinking for hours and hours trying to find the answer and in the end I got the answers. I dont know if the answers are right or not but I am comfertable with my answers. What I think I did well was reading the questions carefully and also keeping on task. What I think I should work on next time is working faster and learning my Math. I enjoyed the Maths test and I hope next time I could do better then today.
